Zeledyne Connects Accounts Payable, Workflow with DocLib

Zeledyne has incorporated DocLib as its document management solution as an integral piece of its customer service effort.

“We count on coordination and communication with and for our customers,” says Brian Kelliher, Chief Information Officer for Zeledyne.  “We found that it is easy, efficient and cost effective through DocLib.”

Zeledyne serves automotive and architectural glass markets worldwide.  Headquartered in Allen Park, MI, the company maintains float and fabrication facilities in Tulsa, OK, Nashville, TN and Juarez, Mexico.

DocLib serves one of Zeledyne’s most important business lines: the automotive glass aftermarket. Using DocLib’s Data Capture module and Business Forms powered by FormTrap, Zeledyne’s Customer Service uploads spreadsheets (provided by the customer) to QAD through DocLib to create sales orders.  Any order errors are identified automatically, and within minutes, large, multiline sales orders are built.

Zeledyne also uses DocLib to store printed Purchase Orders and Customer Invoices, as well as for its EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) process to identify pricing changes for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) items.

As a QAD partner, the integration of DocLib into Zeledyne’s daily operations was nearly seamless.

Kelliher adds, “In our business, our customers and suppliers appreciate efficiency. DocLib has improved Zeledyne’s overall customer relationships measurability. It’s been a big plus for us.”

Canoga Perkins integrates DocLib to Improve Product Change Control

Canoga Perkins, a world leader in the design and manufacture of specialty optical transport products for the telecommunications industry, has implemented DocLib, the Enterprise Document Management System, as a critical piece of its product change control process.

“Our industry demands precise and accurate deliverables, and as a major supplier to the military and telecom service providers, there is no room for error,” says Gary Allport, Vice President of Information Technology of Canoga Perkins.  “And because of the intricate nature of our products, every change needs to be documented, reviewed, indexed and filed.  DocLib has been a real time saver, and the most efficient way to make adjustments to please the customer.”

Through the implementation of DocLib, Canoga Perkins is now able to document and track the processes of requesting, reviewing, approving, implementing, monitoring and controlling changes to any part of its electronic component product line, using both the Process Change Control and the Workflow modules. These features add consistency and coordination to the change process.

As a QAD partner, DocLib integrates perfectly with Canoga Perkins’ manufacturing platform and document systems. DocLib is a QAD Complementary Solution.

Adds Allport: “DocLib has measurably improved our operation.”

Based in Chatsworth, CA, Canoga Perkins has sales offices throughout the United States.
