Arthrex selected DocLib to assist with streamlining the process of handling customer service calls. Arthrex DocLib users generate a SSM Service call in MFG/PRO and output the call to DocLib. The call is automatically indexed, keywords assigned and sent to DocLib. Follow-up letters and other documents are automatically generated from predefined templates within the DocLib database. Users can also scan and index supporting documents pertaining to the SSM call using the DocLib Document imaging Module. Users have instantaneous access to the library of documents by using the DocLib Full Text Search Module. Using this module, documents are retrieved by any word contained within the document(s) regardless if the word is defined as a keyword or not.

Arthrex is in the process of implementing DocLib within their Engineering, Quality Control, Regulatory, Customer Service, Buyer/Planner, and Accounting departments as well as in their manufacturing subsidiaries

DocLib's seamless integration with MFG/PRO (Arthrex's ERP system) was a key factor in the selection of DocLib. Nancy McLaughlin, Vice President of Communications at Arthrex describes the rationale behind the selection of DocLib. Pentair implemented DocLib throughout several departments within their organization including, Customer Service, Shipping, Purchasing and Accounting. With two primary manufacturing and support facilities on opposite coasts, Pentair employees were spending too much time locating business documents. Since the implementation of DocLib, any document relevant to the department can be instantaneously located in an electronic DocLib folder. These documents include forms and reports generated from MFG/PRO as well as scanned images including purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, checks etc.

The scalability and speed of DocLib was a critical factor in Pentair's selection of a Document Management solution.
